Required Education

Associate’s degree in nursing required.

Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.

 

Licenses/Certifications

Current/active North Carolina or compact RN license required.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association is required.

Case Management certification is preferred.

 

Required Skills

Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Must possess excellent interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of healthcare providers, support staff, and third-party payors where appropriate.

Excellent computer skills

Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.

Requires a working knowledge of community resources and Utilization/Quality Review standards and activities conducted by third-party payors.

 

Minimum Work Experience

Five years of recent acute care hospital experience is required.

Supervisory experience is preferred.

Hospital case management experience is strongly preferred.
