We are seeking either a Principal Test Engineer or a Senior Principal Test Engineer to join our talented TOC-L team in Redondo Beach, CA. This position is contingent upon program award and/or customer funding. Core Responsibilities: Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment. Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed. Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area. This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below. Basic Qualifications: Principal Test Engineer: Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5 years of relevant experience; Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience; PhD with 1 year of relevant experience. Senior Principal Test Engineer: Bachelor's degree in STEM with 8 years of relevant experience; Master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience; PhD with 4 years of relevant experience. Active Secret Clearance required at the time of application. Experience with Acceptance Test Plan Development (PDR/IDR2/CDR), Systems I&T, FAT, and DT/OT/Demos. Experience troubleshooting and resolving HW/SW/FW integration problems. Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment. Ability to effectively communicate across teams and leadership. Ability to travel to CONUS and OCONUS test sites 25%. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to conduct laboratory and field tests of parts, subassemblies, equipment, and systems to ensure performance meets contractual requirements. Ability to create test plans, test cases, test procedures, and test reports. Ability to manage the defect backlog and closure process. TS/SCI clearance.
