The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking an experienced Windows Systems Administrator to join its dynamic team of technical professionals. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Classified Solutions support team in Redondo Beach, CA. Note: Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. Applicants are encouraged to apply, only if they are willing to work on-site. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following: Install, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows workstations and servers. Install, upgrade/patch, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management of systems. Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed. Collaborate with other teams: users, network engineers, cybersecurity and IT management. Participate in special projects and team initiatives Review trouble ticket queues to identify issues that need to be addressed. Work through the ticket queue without intervening management direction (self-motivated). Establish and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Exhibit good communication skills, an energetic approach, and patience with customers. Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgment, overall adequacy and accuracy. Basic Qualifications: Master's Degree with 3 years of experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of experience; OR an Associate's Degree with 7 years of experience; OR a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 9 years of experience is required Must have a DOD 8570 IAT Level II, or higher, certification (example: Security+ CE); ; OR must have the ability to obtain one within 6 months of start date Candidates must have a current DOD Secret level security clearance (at a minimum) in order to be considered Experience managing Windows Server OS (Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, DNCP, etc.) Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Active Top Secret would be nice to have MCSE (or similar) Microsoft certification 6 years of Windows Server Administration to include VMWare, Active Directory, and Group Policy in a classified environment Experience operating under and managing systems within NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG information system environments Knowledge of running and remediating Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) findings on Windows systems Intermediate knowledge of Windows Active Directory, VMWare, and knowledge of Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) Intermediate scripting experience with PowerShell Knowledge of enterprise monitoring tools (Trellix/SolarWinds/Splunk) Advanced networking (protocols, subnetting, VLANs) We offer flexible work arrangements, phenomenal learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and a very friendly team environment.
