Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is seeking a Machinist to join our Hopkinton, MA Flight Systems Group. We are a world-class manufacturer of Passive Microwave Components for military aircraft and launch vehicles. Our work is mission critical and directly contributes to national security. The ideal candidate enjoys being challenged on a technical level. Some Responsibilities include the following: Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T). Install and adjust cutting tools consistent with type and size of material being machined. Basic Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent/GED and 2+ years of relevant work or related education 1+ years of experience setting up and operating Proto TRAK Control Set up and run Southwestern DPM Bed/Knee Mills with Proto TRAK controls. Operate hand and power tools to deburr precision and complex machine parts in accordance with semi-complicated engineering blueprints and route sheets to close tolerances. US Citizenship Must be able to lift & carry 50 pounds and stand for 4 hours at a time Preferred Qualifications: Associates Degree or Trade School certification Silver torch brazing experience Experience with machining copper Southwestern milling machines.
