Utility Scale Solar Site Manager Job Summary

We are seeking a Site Manager to oversee operations and maintenance (O&M) at the Orsted LCE 2W Permian Solar Plant in Andrews County, TX. This role is critical in ensuring the successful execution of plant commissioning, startup, operations, and maintenance while maintaining safety, quality, and performance standards. The Site Manager will work closely with internal teams, customers, and contractors to drive operational excellence and efficiency.

Utility Scale Solar Site Manager  Responsibilities

  • Lead site operations to ensure successful plant commissioning, startup, and maintenance.
  • Manage the execution of the customer contract, from site mobilization through closeout, including reporting, change order negotiation, and issue resolution.
  • Drive customer satisfaction by maintaining strong communication, contract compliance, and high safety and performance standards.
  • Oversee safety, quality, scheduling, continuous improvement, cost control, cash flow, and risk management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support commissioning, operations, and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Foster a team-oriented work environment that encourages employee engagement and operational excellence.

Utility Scale Solar Site Manager Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Engineering preferred) OR High School Diploma/GED with at least 5 years of experience in a field service or supervisory role.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in field service engineering, project management, or customer management.
  • Fluent in English (oral and written, technical and commercial).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Proven experience working with multi-cultural teams.
  • Ability to work on-site in Andrews County, TX.

Utility Scale Solar Site Manager Preferred Position Requirements

  • Experience in solar power plant design, construction, service, operations, or maintenance.
  • Knowledge of solar product manufacturing and testing processes.
  • Prior Six Sigma or Lean Quality experience.
