Job Summary:
Product Content and Strategy Manager’s primary purpose is to develop and drive eCommerce and enrich the customers digital experience.   This Supplier and Business Center facing role is responsible and accountable for collecting, validating, maintaining, updating, and socializing the rich content enabling effective execution of Category Strategies. This person will be directly responsible and accountable for the completeness, accuracy, and quality of all customer facing product content. Additionally, this person will fulfill digital marketing requirements necessary to acquire new customers and support revenue growth goals through a partnership with the Marketing Team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supplier management for content collection and validation with the business center and cross functional teams for eCommerce enablement.
- Lead and manage relevant business processes.
- Identifies category insights and proposes business solutions to Category Leadership to drive sales and incremental gross profit dollars.
- Collaborate to create and implement category strategy.
- Create and refine north star approach toward future rich content capability and technologies.
- Utilizes dashboards to measure, monitor and manage KPI’s and financial impact of item data enrichment.
- Aide and assist in Supplier Portal enrollment to enable content collection and review
Education Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited and recognized four-year college or university
- Internal Associates only 7 or 10 years of experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
Education Preferred:
- Masters Degree in Marketing or Business
Experience Required:
- 5 years Food Service, distribution, retail or wholesale industry experience
Experience Preferred:
- Understanding of GS1 Standards and GDSN a plus
- PIM, DAM and/or MDM a plus
- Experience creating and executing online sales and marketing plans a plus
Technical Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent knowledge of product information management and/or master data management
- Great understanding of product and supplier lifecycle management
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excels at describing, evaluating and structuring complex taxonomies with interdependencies
- Capable of triangulating multiple independent data points to deliver actionable insights
- Deep understanding of customer’s needs and behaviors
- Great communication skills, experience in working in cross functional and matrix organizations
- Advanced understanding of organizing, normalizing, cleansing and standardizing large amounts of product information from disparate sources
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage many ongoing projects at once
- Self-motivation with the ability to take initiative in a challenging, fast-paced environment
- Ability to assume responsibility and work independently with little or no supervision
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, graphing, data connections),
- Microsoft Office, SQL, Visual Basic, Tableau, Business Objects, R, or other relevant data mining software experience preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze, design, and document business processes
- Demonstrates openness to changes and new ideas
- Builds strong relationships with Suppliers based on mutual success
- Identifies and demonstrates an understanding of the expectations of suppliers (internal and external)
