About The Position
We are seeking a board-certified Pathologist for a locum tenens position at a Laboratory/Diagnostic Center in Texas. This 80-day assignment begins on 06/23/2025, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm, with no call or weekend duties. The ideal candidate will have experience in all areas of general pathology practice, including surgical pathology, GI pathology, bone marrow analysis, and non-gynecological cytology. This role offers an opportunity to work in a diverse pathology practice using Epic and WindowPath systems, with potential for extension.Â

Responsibilities and Duties:Â
• Perform surgical pathology examinations Â
• Analyze GI pathology specimens Â
• Evaluate bone marrow samplesÂ
• Conduct non-gynecological cytology examinationsÂ
• Provide accurate and timely diagnosesÂ
• Collaborate with other pathologists and healthcare professionalsÂ
• Maintain detailed and accurate pathology reportsÂ
• Utilize Epic and WindowPath systems for record-keeping and reportingÂ
• Adhere to all laboratory safety and quality control protocolsÂ
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings as neededÂ
• Stay current with advancements in pathology practices and techniques
Additional Information:Â
• Texas medical license requiredÂ
• AP/CP board certification mandatoryÂ
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in general pathology practiceÂ
• Fellowship completion desirable but not requiredÂ
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills essentialÂ
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
