Job Summary

Responsible for managing the Scope, Schedule & Budget for major capital construction projects.Ā  Projects range from $80-$120M and have significant impact on corporate financial and operational commitments.Ā  Assist in developing long range capital plans & forecasts as well as SME for each region related to new construction / renovation projects.Ā  Take the lead on new technology projects within Sysco and oversee their implementation (Electric Vehicle & Photovoltaic, alternate energy).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively managing the scope, schedule & budget of assigned capital projects.Ā  Ensure capital projects are fully delivered within the assigned timeframe and budget.Ā  Provide notification to management if there will be a deviation from expectation and provide mitigation plans.Ā  Capital projects range from new builds to expansions and renovations.

  • Develop bid documents with Developers/General Contractors to execute Sysco capital projects while protecting the corporationā€™s interest.

  • Mediate and resolve project conflicts. Define, negotiate, execute contractual obligations in support of Sysco Capital Projects.

  • Providing status reports to all project stakeholders, EAM leadership and ELT.

  • Developing ā€œall encompassingā€ construction estimates for future capital project to be incorporated into FY plan

  • Assist EAM facilities with renovations and emergency work

Education Required:

BS in Engineering / Construction / Related Field

Education Preferred:

MS or MBA

Experience Required

15 years minimum

Experience Preferred:

20+

Licenses/Certification Preferred:

PE, PMP, LEED AP (BD&C)

Technical Skills and Abilities:

Ability to read and understand blueprints, contracts, engineering documents.
