Carrizo Springs, Texas Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens

Rhino Medical is actively seeking Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians for an exciting locum tenens opportunity in Carrizo Springs, TX. This Critical Access Hospital offers Level IV Trauma Center coverage with a high-acuity patient mix and strong telehealth physician support available 24/7.

Opportunity Details:

• Location: Carrizo Springs, Texas
• Contract Type: Emergency Medicine Locum Tenens
• Start Date: ASAP – Ongoing
• Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts (weekend coverage priority)
• Support: Telehealth ABEM Board-Certified ED Physicians available 24/7

Facility Details:

• Trauma Level: IV
• Hospital Beds: 25
• Emergency Department Beds: 6 (including 2 trauma bays)
• Annual ED Volume: Approximately 10,800 patient visits per year
• Patient Demographics:
  • 5% Pediatric
  • 20% Geriatric
  • 50% Trauma
• Electronic Medical Records: T-System
• Radiology & Lab Services: Available 24/7

Provider Requirements:

• Board Certification: ABEM (preferred) or ABFM/ABIM with strong ED experience
• Licensure: Active Texas State Medical License & Unrestricted DEA
• Required Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS
• Trauma CME: 9 hours annually (required for physician privileging)
• Procedural Proficiency in:
  • Suturing
  • Intubation
• Experience: 3-5 years of Emergency Medicine experience required
