Barge Service Technician Level II Job Summary
The Barge Service Technician Level II is responsible for providing technical service and support for marine electrical and mechanical systems. This position involves troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of various marine equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational policies. The role requires occasional travel and on-call availability to meet customer needs.
Barge Service Technician Level II Responsibilities
Troubleshoot basic electrical circuits.
Work with motor starters and start/stop systems.
Utilize multi-meters, amp meters, and meggers proficiently.
Terminate common types of electrical equipment.
Interpret one-line electrical drawings.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on pumps.
Supervise and train Technician Level 3 personnel.
Assist in managing assigned projects.
Participate in on-call rotations for seven-day periods.
Travel occasionally to various locations as required.
Adhere to all safety and operational policies.
Barge Service Technician Level II Position Requirements
Minimum of two years in the electrical service industry.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to obtain a valid TWIC card.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
No DWI convictions.
Pass criminal background check.
Pass drug and alcohol testing.
