Selected candidate will serve on the Materiel Fielding and Training Team as a Fielding Lead. Responsible for the successful fielding of the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) to the end user. Work with the IBCS Materiel Fielding Team and Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Product Office (government customer) in accomplishing all tasks associated with planning, preparing, executing, and assessing each IBCS fielding event. Tasks may include the development of a Materiel Fielding Plan, regular customer interaction with the government materiel fielding team, perform fielding site surveys, conduct end user coordination, execute the on-site management of NG fielding resources, and report status of the performance of the Materiel fielding against the plan. The Materiel Fielding Lead will supervise the delivery of IBCS equipment to end users at locations worldwide. Individual will be responsible for acting as the site lead of one or more New Equipment Fielding (NEF) New equipment Training (NET) events. This position requires the Materiel Fielding Lead to work on location in Huntsville, AL.
Responsibilities:
Works under the direction of the IBCS Materiel Fielding and Training Manager
Support IFMC fielding lead in the development of IBCS Materiel Fielding Plan
Planning, preparation, and execution of unit’s fielding
Act as Materiel Fielding and Training site lead during new equipment fielding (NEF) and new equipment training (NET)
Develop new metrics to capture objective data points to assess success of training and fielding
Compile daily, weekly, monthly status reports to feed metrics
Supports the Materiel Fielding and Training Manager and Customer in the creation and delivery of Memorandum of Notification (MON) and New Materiel Introductory Brief (NMIB)
Completes tasks and requirements inclusive of development of a Materiel Fielding Plan
Conducts customer interaction with the government Materiel fielding team
Performs fielding site surveys
Conducts end-user coordination
Executes the on-site management of Northrop Grumman fielding and training resources
Measures the performance of the Materiel fielding against the plan
Conducts the New Materiel In-brief and supervise the delivery of IBCS equipment to end users at locations worldwide
Adheres to Statement of Work requirements and ensure team members understand, support, and successfully meet all Statement of Work tasks
Basic Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills
Ability to effectively communicate vertically as well as horizontally within the IBCS Organization and the US Government Customer Organization
Ability to create briefing packages, reports, and other forms of written communication and clearly articulate the information to Senior Management or Executives
Experience with Materiel Fielding requirements
10+ years experience serving in the military, to include time on Battalion or Brigade Staff
Ability to adhere to Statement of Work requirements and ensure team members understand, support, and successfully meet all Statement of Work tasks
Demonstrated experience in the use of compiling metrics, generating reports, schedule development, and allocation of resources
Demonstrated outgoing, positive personality, solid work ethic, commitment to individual and team success, with a strong work-life balance approach
Willing to travel up to 50%
Possess an Active Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience conducting, scheduling, or leading fielding operations
Ability to manage customer expectations and work with government counterpart to achieve mission success
Prior experience in the development and delivery of MON
Prior experience in the development and delivery of NMIB
Expert level understanding of US Army fielding regulations and pamphlets
Possess a strong understanding of Materiel Fielding requirements
Ability to work across multiple disciplines of Logistics and Engineering
Ability to estimate resource requirements, evaluate and estimate costs associated with fielding operations
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
