Opportunity
To directly supervise a rotating shift of hourly shipping/receiving workers engaged in the shipping/receiving of Vikrell molding compound and molded bathing components. Must meet posted shipping schedules while ensuring quality, safety, and cost standards are met.           Â
Specific Responsibilities
Assign labor force to appropriate tasks in line with efficient crewing needs and contractual requirements.
Ensures that all process and quality specifications are followed in the shipping/receiving of scheduled components.
Responsible to monitor shipping results and ensure that budget rates are exceeded.
Maintain detailed knowledge of process and equipment in order to achieve optimum efficiency.
Ensures that all shift employees are adequately trained in the necessary process procedures to accomplish assignments efficiently.
Hold or participate monthly safety meetings with shift employees to communicate the importance of safe work practices. Monitor and enforce all safety rules.
Administer labor contract, plant rules and handle appropriate discipline.
Continuously strive to improve process, process equipment and procedures.
Encourage shift employees to improve processes.
Understand and enforce all procedures related to safe handling of hazardous materials and instruct subordinates in same.
Trained on all applicable SOPs, LOPs, policies, and procedures.
Skills/Requirements
College degree in related field or equal experience in a supervisory role.Â
Experience and demonstrated success in leadership position requiring accomplishment of standards or goals through subordinates.Â
Strong communication skills.
