Northrop Grumman is looking for you to join our team as a Staff Systems Engineer leading research and development based out of Huntsville, Alabama or Roy, Utah and may offer a competitive relocation package. What you’ll get to do: Lead research and development on the Nuclear Command and Control (NC2) cryptography project Work with multi-disciplinary team members from numerous NG locations Provide project management related to funding, staffing, schedule, and technical direction oversight to the internal research and development Drive integrated solutions for future NC2/NC3 capabilities that NG will demonstrate to partners and customers Produce prototypes that align to the Advanced Programs technical road map for the NC3 strategy Lead presentations to government representatives regarding our prototypes Basic Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar discipline with 12 years of experience; or 10 years experience with a Master’s degree; or 8 year with PhD 2 years of experience with encryption technology 4 years of experience with scripting and coding languages such as Python 1 year of experience with leading research and development efforts 1 year of experience with model-based systems engineering tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need Preferred Qualifications: Experience with other USAF strategic systems such as Sentinel, Minute Man III, B-2 or B-21 delivery systems 1 year of experience with Nuclear Command and Control (NC2) related systems/processes Experience with software defined hardware structures (i.e., software defined radars and field programmable gate arrays) Experience with modeling and simulation programs such as the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM) Experience with applying hypervisors, cross-domain solutions, multi-level security systems, or modular open systems approach to integrated systems Experience guiding Agile scrum teams Familiarity with the Atlassian Tool Suite (i.e., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) Self-driven, able to tackle challenges, solve problems with minimal oversight and make recommendations for solutions/process improvement to leadership Strong written and verbal communication skills Active TS/SCI clearance and Sentinel special access program Position Benefits: As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including Medical, Dental & Vision coverage, 401k, Educational Assistance, Life Insurance, Employee Assistance Programs & Work/Life Solutions, Paid Time Off, Health & Wellness Resources, Employee Discounts.
