Accounting Specialist III

We are seeking an Accounting Specialist III to perform a variety of general accounting support tasks in our East Central accounting department.

What You’ll Do:

  • You will compile and oversee accounts payable functions including the review of vendor setups, payables inquiry and researching returned checks.

  • You’ll complete the month end review of payables and analysis of expenses related to work entered.

  • You will lead various payables projects including W-9 and 1099’s.

  • You’ll be responsible for preparing the master office supply digital invoice for payment and journal entry and user and branch online maintenance.

  • You will be responsible for reviewing transactions to ensure proper general ledger coding, supporting documentation and approval.

  • You’ll serve as backup for entering payables and license transaction balancing.

  • You will perform ad hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

What You’ll Need: 

  • 1 - 2 years of progressive and relevant accounting experience with accounts payable emphasis required.

  • Accounting degree preferred, or a combination of education and work experience.

  • 10-key by touch required.

  • Intermediate knowledge on all Microsoft Office software products required.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail required and ability to work with different departments within the organization.

  • Experience in business accounting software such as Oracle, Hyperion and SAP helpful.
