We are seeking an Accounting Specialist III to perform a variety of general accounting support tasks in our East Central accounting department.
What You’ll Do:
You will compile and oversee accounts payable functions including the review of vendor setups, payables inquiry and researching returned checks.
You’ll complete the month end review of payables and analysis of expenses related to work entered.
You will lead various payables projects including W-9 and 1099’s.
You’ll be responsible for preparing the master office supply digital invoice for payment and journal entry and user and branch online maintenance.
You will be responsible for reviewing transactions to ensure proper general ledger coding, supporting documentation and approval.
You’ll serve as backup for entering payables and license transaction balancing.
You will perform ad hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.
What You’ll Need:Â
1 - 2 years of progressive and relevant accounting experience with accounts payable emphasis required.
Accounting degree preferred, or a combination of education and work experience.
10-key by touch required.
Intermediate knowledge on all Microsoft Office software products required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail required and ability to work with different departments within the organization.
Experience in business accounting software such as Oracle, Hyperion and SAP helpful.
