Responsibilities include supporting various HRC supported and developed powertrain, chassis, and electronic systems trackside. Scope of the job includes mechanical and operational support of the Honda supplied hardware and systems on the race car, acting as a conduit between the HRC departments and trackside for communication of all aspects of system operation and debugging of system components to enable correct operation. Support for hardware inspections and changes. Provide trackside engineering support to HRC customer teams, oversee the engineering and operation of the powertrain supplied to Race Team, ensuring key goals of performance, drivability and reliability are met. Extensive traveling.

Qualifications - External
Requirements include:
BS Degree or Equivalent in Engineering, Automotive Electronics / Systems Operation, Validation, and Debugging required. Engineering with emphasis in IC engines and hybrid powertrains or equivalent work experience, chassis build and experience. 3 years of experience as a Crew Chief, Lead Mechanic, or engineering support of high-performance racing vehicles, and system design and development; internal combustion race engines and related mechanical and electronic systems; electric hybrid powertrain, chassis build and development, and previous technical writing and reporting required. Experience with working on automotive systems, service, and maintenance and operations. Hands-on experience with specialized engine measurement equipment and variety of hand tools. Excellent computing skills. Proven ability to communicate information effectively both verbally and in written form to a wide variety of audiences. Previous experience working in a fast paced, time critical and sensitive environment. Ability instils teamwork and be effective across international, cultural, and linguistic boundaries. Ability to be self-directed, detail oriented who can effectively work well under pressure in a diverse environment, ability to lead and motivate others. Must have strong problem solving and analytical skills, planning, organizational and interpersonal skills. Extensive travel throughout the USA and minor travel abroad.
