Summary

This position reports to the Director, Compensation Programs and Operations and will partner with other members on the compensation team to effectively execute on strategic initiatives to provide compensation offerings that will retain and attract the world’s best talent to support the CHS business. This position is multi-faceted and will have a diverse focus on analysis, compensation administration and supporting core processes. This role is remote, full time, or hybrid if located near the corporate office in Inver Grove Heights, MN.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analysis and support on compensation core processes, initiatives, and programs.
  • Analyze and interpret survey results and develop recommendations for role specific, functional, and enterprise adjustments.
  • Monitor compensation trends to ensure market competitiveness relative to the overall total rewards strategy.
  • Recommend, develop, and implement enhancements to compensation programs and processes in support of the organization’s total rewards strategy.
  • Perform UAT testing for system enhancement initiatives in close partnership with the HR IT team.
  • Support HRIS projects and data validations.
  • Participate in and provide primary support in salary surveys.
  • Develop ad hoc reports and executive ready summaries to meet both HR and business requests.
  • Ensure compliance of federal, state and local laws governing equal employment opportunity, wage and hour and regulatory/compliance requirements to compensation programs. Work with legal counsel on compensation related topics.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources and/or Compensation

Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (preferred)
  • Compensation or Human Resources certifications, such as CCP or SPHR (preferred)
  • Advanced MS Excel skills  (Pivot tables, vLookup, Macros)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with impeccable attention to quality and detail
  • Ability to analyze complex data to make effective decisions, provide recommendations, identify trends, and create executive presentations
  • Strong time management and project management skills efficiently working with deadlines
  • Experience working with HR data and systems (e.g. Success Factors/SAP and MarketPay)

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications.
