Summary

CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Information Technology group. We are looking for a Senior Software Support Coordinator with the ability to work well and support IT business partners, vendors, and leadership. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, be detail oriented, able to work in a team environment and independently.

While this position is listed as “remote”, local travel is required. Qualified candidates must live in the Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN surrounding area in order to travel to the corporate office located in Inver Grove Heights as needed for equipment support.

Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced skills to a variety of IT Support issues including acting as the first point of escalation for more complex issues.
  • Provide quality systems support to all users.
  • Respond to incoming calls, voicemail, web-submissions, emails and/or chat for assistance from users experiencing problems or issues.
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, resolve, track, escalate and accurately document more complex technical problems.
  • Document customer requests in call tracking system, route problems as required and document clear and detailed resolution notes for all incidents/problems being closed.
  • Complete warranty repairs work as necessary. Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors.
  • Suggest improvement to current processes to improve productivity.
  • Use asset database to manage the location of assets.
  • With limited supervision, work within standard IT Support procedures.
  • Stay current with system information, changes and updates.
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • 2+ years of experience in Information Technology and/or IT Administration

Additional Qualifications

  • Advanced customer service skills
  • Technical aptitude with strong PC literacy skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to learn and apply technical information in a fast-paced, demanding work environment
  • Ability to handle large call volumes
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals and procedural documentation
  • Ability to type 60 words per minute
  • Advanced knowledge of relevant software, hardware, and other equipment, including Desktop OS, productivity software, printer support, installing network printers and troubleshooting printer connectivity issues, password resets, account activation/deactivation, understanding of SMTP, HTTP
  • Ability to use Remote Sessions web-based productivity software
  • Knowledge of relevant call tracking applications
  • Knowledge of ITSM tools

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications.
