What we do: 

The Avionics and Instrumentation Technician is responsible for the Assembly, Inspection, Repair, and Troubleshooting of aircraft avionics, electrical (high and low voltage), and instrumentation systems on rotorcraft in support of Test and Evaluation Programs. This position will ensure the safe execution of assembly, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, preventative maintenance, inspections, functional testing, and troubleshooting in accordance with applicable Supernal and industry guidelines

What you can do:

  • Interface with Program & Project Leaders, Engineering, Safety, Quality Management, Procurement, Program Management Office, and Test organization members
  • Develop and manufacture special-purpose instrumentation, cable and wiring assemblies, laboratory test equipment, and fixtures
  • Aircraft Electrical Assembly, Inspection, Repair, and Troubleshooting: High Voltage, Low Voltage, and Data
  • Aircraft Instrumentation Assembly, Inspection, Repair and Troubleshooting
  • Maintain absolute safety around high-voltage power systems
  • Participate in Risk Assessments and Evaluations
  • Tests electronic components and circuits to locate defects using signal generators, amp meters, voltmeters, and other measurement equipment
  • Calibrate, test, and functionally check instrumentation, analyzers, control systems, and other test equipment
  • Read and interpret various aircraft drawings, schematics reports, or specifications
  • Utilization of various test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meter electronic bridges, loop calibrators) and hand tools
  • Complete all written and electronic records (work orders, calibration sheets, time cards, material requests) required to document the work in progress and as it is completed
  • Work directly with engineering and operations to resolve problems and procure
  • Must maintain a clean working environment at all times.
  • Must be familiar with standard and non-standard concepts, practices, and procedures in aviation
  • Performs build-up and maintenance of test articles, ensuring that quality objectives, configuration control, and conformity requirements are met
  • Other duties as assigned

What you can contribute:

  • Minimum GED or HS diploma required; college degree preferred
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience as an avionics and instrumentation technician (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
  • Rotorcraft Experience
  • Knowledge of high /low voltage power systems and safe working practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive delivery of communication and follow-up
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to independently prioritize and accomplish work within time constraints
  • Proficiency with Excel VLOOKUP, pivot tables, MS Office Suite
  • Willing to travel

You may also be able to contribute:

  • Experimental Flight Test Experience preferred
  • Airframe and Power Plant License preferred

Base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location

The per-hour pay range for this position is:
$60—$63.56 USD
