Sr Business Intelligence Analyst – Indirect Sourcing & Procurement

McKesson is seeking a Sr Business Intelligence Analyst to lead the analytics and reporting functions within Supplier Diversity and Purchasing Compliance within the Indirect Sourcing & Procurement organization. This role is critical in driving visibility and adoption of our compliance programs while supporting diversity goals through accurate and insightful data reporting. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial accounting/FP&A, a strong background in data visualization, and expertise in process automation.

In addition, this individual will be responsible for the development, analysis, and modeling of operational, economic, management, accounting, and other organizational data. They will provide recommended solutions to new and complex problems, develop innovative strategies, and evaluate the potential impact of changes in operations or markets.

This individual will support the company’s supplier diversity and purchasing compliance initiatives, provide high-level reporting, actionable insights to drive business decisions of McKesson’s senior leadership and government agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of reporting frameworks for supplier diversity metrics and purchasing compliance tracking across various business units.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills working with leaders across multiple functions to make strong business decisions.
  • Collaborate with procurement, supplier diversity, and finance teams to ensure alignment on data needs and reporting objectives.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations that track supplier diversity spend, compliance with purchasing policies, and financial performance.
  • Analyze large datasets, identify and monitor trends, and apply problem-solving skills that result in actionable recommendations for process improvements within the sourcing and procurement functions.
  • Partner with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial tracking, compliance reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Champion data governance initiatives to improve data quality, resolve discrepancies, and enhance reporting accuracy.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track supplier diversity progress and compliance adherence.
  • Act as a change agent in driving a data-driven culture within the S&P organization.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support ad-hoc data requests, scenario analysis, and decision-making for executive leadership.
  • Ensure consistent and timely delivery of reports and analytics for internal stakeholders, including senior leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degrees preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in data analytics, procurement, or related fields, with a focus on supplier diversity, purchasing compliance, or FP&A.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier diversity programs, and compliance tracking mechanisms.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Qlik, Power BI, Tableau, Looker) and Salesforce, with the ability to create executive-level reports and dashboards.
  • Experience in data analysis tools such as Excel or SQL query language
  • Experience with process automation and identifying operational efficiencies.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in FP&A and accounting principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence key stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for data integrity and continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and foster positive working relationships.
  • Experience with procurement systems is preferred (e.g. Fieldglass, Ariba).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail & commitment to delivering high quality work product and measurable impact.
  • Comfortable working in a geographically diverse company and in a matrix reporting environment.
  • Experience in presenting data and reports to multiple levels of leadership
  • Ability to translate complex data analysis into easy understandable terms for stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
