The Associate Patient Care Coordinator is responsible to the Center Administrator and provides appointment scheduling, patient registration, cashiering, answers incoming calls and performs other related clerical functions. This primary role provides front office support functions. 

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM

Location: 6161 N State Highway 16, Irving, TX

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility will be answering over 2000+ calls a day with the help of other members of the team
  • Schedule patients for future appointments in the appropriate time slots
  • Ask patient questions to verify patient data or needs for scheduling
  • Screens/forwards incoming calls from patients, physicians, and health plans
  • Access insurance plan systems to verify insurance eligibility for patients and seek additional information as necessary
  • Input/update patient demographic data into computer system
  • Manage/respond constructively to challenging patient interactions
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of experience in customer service  
  • Beginner level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience with medical office processes 
  • 1+ years of related work experience including data entry 
  • Prior experience with EMR computer applications
