The Real Estate (RE) Data Analyst is a key contributor to the operational and decision-making processes of the McKesson Real Estate (MRE) Technology Team. The RE Data Analyst will work with a number of technology systems of record, assist with dashboard creation, and deliver reports on scheduled and ad hoc bases.
Data sources range from Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), security badge and access control, real estate portfolio management, operational technology (OT), and more. Analytics tools include Snowflake, PowerBI, Tableau, PowerAutomate, and Excel.
The RE Data Analyst collaborates with managers and leaders to ensure timely delivery of high-quality, accurate reporting to help drive business decisions. The RE Data Analyst will also support the Director of Operations Technology with requirements gathering for new automated data pipelines, data governance, and dashboard standards.
At times this role can be involved in projects across the organization that may have scope outside of their primary responsibilities. This candidate should have the ability to be agile during organizational transformation.
Reports and Analysis
- Triage incoming ad hoc report requests in collaboration with Data Analysts
- Interpret trends and potential impact to end users based on report output
- Design data source schema to allow for multi-variate and historical analysis
- Package analytics for internal stakeholders via email and PowerPoint
- Creation of PowerBI dashboards consistent with existing visualization standards, connected to live sources across Snowflake, SharePoint, and other sources
Requirements Gathering
- Work with end user stakeholders to facilitate and document business and functional requirements for new project initiatives
- Help to prioritize various requirements with end users
- Contribute to solution comparison and evaluation as part of RFPs and business case creation
Systems Maintenance
- Review changes to existing data source schemas to determine impact to automated pipelines
- Troubleshoot and remedy automation failures within data source systems and PowerAutomate
- Adhere to and contribute to data schema and dashboard standards maintenance
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Critical Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with all organizational levels
- Comfort with using data for executive-level storytelling
- Experience with PowerBI DAX and PowerQuery custom columns and calculations
- Problem-solving skills to find multiple viable solutions for a challenge
- Analytical skills to process and interpret large amounts of data
- Strong multitasking and time management skills
- Ability to work independently or across teams
Preferred, Nice to Have, Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to write and work with SQL queries, nested subqueries, and fun stuff like JOINs
- Exposure to data governance programs to optimize data freshness, quality, and accuracy
- Knowledge of Office Scripts for dynamic ETL of Excel files
- Exposure to real estate technology, operations technology (OT), IoT sensors, etc.
Education/Experience:
Degree or equivalent and 7+ years of relevant experience.
