R&D Process Technician

As an R&D Process Technician, you operate equipment to develop and test plastic containers & related tooling. Our R&D Center in Jackson Center leads product development of containers for top consumer brands. In this role, you will contribute to Plastipak’s high quality standards and positive team culture.

You Will

  • Monitor and operate Extrusion molding machinery and related equipment.
  • Assure customer requirements are met by performing quality checks for specifications, such as bottle weights & dimensions.
  • Identify corrective actions to eliminate defects through the product development process.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines and auxiliary equipment as assigned.
  • Join with your team to identify continuous improvement opportunities focused on safety, reliability, quality & scrap reduction.

You Have

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Mechanical, electrical or other technical/machine operation experience
  • Working knowledge of extrusion, injection or blow molding equipment is preferred
