Position Purpose:
This position exists to improve the performance, engagement and retention of Operations colleagues through effective management of onboarding and continuous training practices. Works with HR and Operations site management to track, communicate and manage all Operations training programs and provide support to address remedial training needs at the local level.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work with Operations Department Leads, Human Resources, and Safety Leaders to develop, manage and continuously improve effective Operations on-boarding training programs.
Select and indirectly manage On-The-Job Trainers in the Warehouse through regular training meetings, training effectiveness evaluations, one-on-one discussions and overall performance management.
Partner with Operations Leaders and On-The-Job Trainers to ensure new hires are performing at expected levels, identify any shortcomings and address issues accordingly throughout the new colleague’s first 90 days to ensure new colleagues reach acceptable new hire performance standards, including proficiency on material handling equipment..
Track and analyze all training-related activities and communicate progress to new hires and leadership weekly. Ensure all training deadlines are met.
Conduct gap analysis and create solutions for existing Warehouse colleagues who are not performing at acceptable levels.
Lead discussions with Operations and HR Leadership related to onboarding and training activity for Operations positions; prepare and discuss documentation and recommendations.
Education:
High School Diploma. Associates degree preferred.
Experience:
At least 2 years’ experience leading a training program or in training-related job, experience with building and managing on-boarding training programs for individual-contributor positions and experience with building coaching & feedback cultures. Previous MHE experience would be a plus.
