The Acute Registered Nurse must demonstrate familiarity with dialysis and hospital emergency procedures and the knowledge, skills, and judgement necessary to assume the responsibility of caring for the dialysis patient in the acute care setting. This person will be responsible for delivering apheresis and pediatric treatments as applicable. This position exercises a knowledge of patient rights and ensures an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity, and well-being of all patients in a safe, secure environment. This individual cooperates and works together with all co-workers to plan and complete job duties with applicable supervisory direction, including implementing job-appropriate judgement.
Requirements:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from accredited school of nursing required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N); three year diploma from accredited diploma program may be substituted for nursing degree.
- Minimum of 18 months of nursing experience with at least 6 months in hemodialysis, critical care nursing preferred.
