Manpower Engineering is seeking an Electrical and Controls Engineer to work onsite at our client in Jeffersonville, IN, near Louisville.  Direct hire/perm position.
What you’ll be doing:

  • Responsible for developing control systems, continuous process improvements, and other support functions.
  • Power panel design, control panel design
  • Design of safe, efficient, and reliable process power systems, and process controls to be operated by company operations on a global basis. Power is 480V service, 600 amps.
  • Software Programming for PLC systems (Automation Direct)
  • Engineering project management to include managing and communicating the project budget and project schedule
  • Develop scope of work for each project and electrical contractor.
  • Work with electrical contractors during the construction and installation phase of the project.
  • Work with Operations to generate procedures, startup systems, work on sustaining projects or train operations coworker
  • Work with our customer’s engineering and operations team to safely install all equipment. Understand the unique HSE requirements at each site
  • Trouble shooting site process performance issues in the field
  • Travel to customer locations when needed (approx. 50% travel)
  • Start up support for new sites

Background we are seeking:
  • Job site experience – minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a Chemical, Electrical or Industrial Process environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology (EET/ECET), electrical engineering (EE), or demonstrated capacity and capabilities.
  • Minimum 5 years technical expertise in developing control systems.
  • Excellent PC skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Understand P&ID drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Open-minded.
  • Ability to “wear several hats”.
  • Able and willing to relocate to or commute daily to Jeffersonville, IN.
