Registered Nurse (RN), Oncology/Interventional Radiography PRN/Hourly 
Job Type: PRN/Hourly | Days 6a-4p with on call

Department/Unit Summary

Interventional radiology is an invasive procedural area that uses multiple modalities for imaging guidance. Procedures range from pain management procedures, biopsies, angiography, PICC line placement, mediport placement, drainage catheters, and other special procedures. The unit is staffed Monday through Friday 6am to 4pm with emergency on call coverage outside of those hours. The department has three interventional rooms with fluoroscopy in addition to a dedicated procedure room for ultrasound guided procedures. Interventional radiology RN’s rotate call during the week and weekends and work alongside a team consisting of interventional radiology radiologists, technologists, and physician assistants.

Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

·         Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.

·         ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire

·         Experience Reading Monitor Strips necessary

·         Experience with Conscious Sedation and Arterial Lines necessary

·         One year of experience preferred
