Purpose of Position: Mixes various ingredients according to Q.C. procedures to prepare product for bottling. Supplies the production line with batched product in a timely manner and helps to attain maximum product recovery.
Job Description: Duties include but are not limited to the following:
-Obtains forklift certification.
-Hooks up hoses, pumps and lines for bulk concentrate or juice and transfers from proper cold storage tanks.
-Follows batching sheets from the Q.C. Dept. and adds proper materials.
-Interpretation of batching sheets.
-Understands Q.C. procedures and provides product to the Q.C. Lab for quality checks.
-Understands and operates PLC controls.
-Runs product through filters, heaters, etc.
-Weighs and blends ingredients for products as directed.
-Cleans area during and at the end of shift.
-Operation of pumps and related connections.
-Completion of material usage sheets.
-Conducts sampling procedures.
-Handles hazardous materials properly, and complies with personal protective equipment rules.
-Tears down system at end of shift and rebuilds filters, pumps, hoses, etc.
-Other duties as assigned.
