Responsibilities:
  • Untying and tying arch-wires
  • Bending and placing arch-wires
  • Fitting bands
  • Preparing for and assisting with bondingand debonding
  • Taking impressions
  • Communicating with patients and families
  • Taking x-rays and developing x-rays
  • Taking intraoral and extraoral photographs
  • Utilizing the computer imaging system
  • Sterilizing instruments
  • Pouring up models
  • Inventorying supplies
  • Ensuring that the Ortho DA staff is performing necessary tasks
  • Reporting/Ordering needed inventory
  • Training and guiding other Ortho DA staff as needed
  • Ensuring that all Ortho DA staff is up to date on certifications (RDA, CPR)
  • ITero scanning
  • Detailed record keeping
  • Scheduling
  • All other duties required by Orthodontist
Qualifications:

Ā 

  • Active Registered Dental Assistant License
  • Current CPR certificationĀ 
  • Minimum of 1 yearĀ of specific Orthodontic experience
  • Must be willing to travel within assigned areas
