We are seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Education to design and implement cutting-edge clinical and non-clinical training programs for our dynamic teams.

About the Role:
As the Director of Education, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the professional development of our staff by overseeing new hire orientation, competency assessments, and ongoing training initiatives. This includes developing and updating educational curricula in collaboration with healthcare professionals, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and leveraging evidence-based practices to drive excellence. You'll identify areas for improvement, analyze data, and craft educational strategies to address gaps in knowledge or performance.

In addition to curriculum development, you will serve as a mentor, fostering a supportive learning environment by providing guidance, coaching, and feedback to help staff achieve their professional goals. The role also includes oversight of educational resources, program evaluation, and communication of outcomes to key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Development: Create and implement educational policies and curricula aligned with organizational goals, focusing on OR, ENDO, SPD, and related areas.
  • Competency Assessment: Evaluate staff through skills demonstrations, written tests, and observation to ensure clinical excellence.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Mentor educators and trainers while partnering with stakeholders to enhance learning opportunities and outcomes.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to AAMI, Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory standards in all training programs.
  • Resource Management: Oversee educational materials, budgets, and facilities to support training initiatives effectively.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitor program effectiveness through data collection and analysis, recommending improvements to drive outcomes.
  • Innovative Learning Solutions: Incorporate simulation-based training and immersive learning experiences into programs to enhance engagement and retention.

Requirements

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Education Leadership, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in clinical education, specifically within operating room or sterile processing settings.
  • Active RN license or CST certification; CRCST certification required within 120 days.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills with a passion for mentoring and education.
  • Technical proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis tools.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (50%+).
