About The Position

A hospital in Missouri is seeking a General Surgeon for a locum tenens position starting 06/01/2025. This 28-day assignment requires coverage for 24/7 call, with no clinic hours, for one week per month. The ideal candidate should have experience with C-sections, laparoscopic cholecystectomies, hernias, appendectomies, and gallbladder procedures. This opportunity offers a flexible schedule and the chance to work in a hospital setting using Meditech EHR. 

Job Details: 

Location: Missouri 

Facility Type: Hospital 

Start Date: 06/01/2025 

LOA: 28 days (1 week per month) 

Provider Type Needed: General Surgeon 

Schedule: 24 hour call coverage shifts

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide 24/7 on-call coverage for surgical emergencies 

• Perform various surgical procedures, including C-sections, laparoscopic cholecystectomies, hernia repairs, appendectomies, and gallbladder surgeries 

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care 

• Utilize Meditech EHR system for documentation and patient management 

• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures 

• Maintain clear communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members

Additional Information: 

• Must be board-certified in General Surgery 

• Active Missouri medical license required 

• Experience with C-sections is essential 

• Familiarity with Meditech EHR is preferred
