Logistics Associate

TRC Staffing is looking for a Logistics Coordinator in Kennesaw, GA!

Job Details:

• 1st shift
• $20/hr. 
• Temp to Hire
• Kennesaw, GA

Job Duties:

• Create all shipping documents for outbound freight
• Schedule all outbound packaged, LTL freight and international shipments
• Schedule pick ups and arrange inbound packages
• Ensure accuracy in shipment method and shipping address on all documentation
• Logistics
• Negotiate best rates for all inbound/outbound shipments
• Work with various freight carriers to organize multiple shipments
• Usage of ERP 

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have at least 2 years of Logistics experience
• Understands supply chain common obstacles and effective solutions
• Experience working with various freight carriers, both domestic and international
• Possesses industry knowledge and terminology
• Knowledge of state, federal and international applicable laws and regulations (i.e., customs, TSA, security, and all other import and export government agencies that regulate international trade)
• Proficient in ERP for shipment documentation
• Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite/365
• Working knowledge of shipping carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and experience with Courier Services and LTL Freight.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels inside and outside of the organization
• Ability to analyze complex situations and arrive to sound conclusions.
• Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items.
• Basic understanding of warehouse procedures.
• Ability to establish priorities as situations arise
• Operate with integrity and sense of urgency
• Ability to operate forklift safely as needed (training will be provided if necessary.
