We seek a Per Diem Pharmacy Technician (Remote Dispensing site) to support all functions of the Genoa mental health pharmacy, primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions, and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Hours:  This role is per diem, will be working on an ‘as needed only’ basis to cover PTO’s and callouts at Kirksville (remote dispensing site) and Hannibal sites when needed. Hannibal site is approximately 1.5 hours away from Kirksville site.

Pharmacy Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5pm (lunch 12:30pm – 1pm)

Location:  105 PFEIFFER AVE STE B KIRKSVILLE, MO 63501

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
  • Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
  • Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
  • Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
  • Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
  • Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
  • Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
  • Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have good attention to detail
  • Other duties as assigned
  • This is a patient-facing role located in a community based behavioral health center
  • Will be required to provide coverage for PTO’s and callouts for Kirksville and Hannibal sites when needed

Required Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Missouri
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification via PTCB
  • 1+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience in the state of Missouri
  • Access to reliable transportation & valid US driver’s license
  • Ability to work in the pharmacy alone when providing coverage at Kirksville location

 

The salary range for this role is $16.00 to $28.85 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
