Senior Manager Finance – Vikrell, Metals & Glass Operations

Work Mode: Hybrid

Location: Hybrid – Kohler, WI

Opportunity

Own the results and actions within the North America Vikrell, Metals & Glass Operations, driving annual improvement total delivered cost.  Leading the teams in the annual financial (operations and product standards) and capital planning processes while driving accountable and measurable cost reduction initiatives.  Provide oversight and analysis of monthly variance reporting, KPI tracking, and forecasting of these areas. 

 

Specific Responsibilities

  • Trusted advisor and business partner to the Director of Operations – Metals & Glass and Director of Operations - Vikrell and leaders from a financial perspective. Interpret and communicate in a straightforward manner. Analyze and quantify business activities and decisions in financial terms using Kohler Co. methodologies. Train, develop and leverage team to achieve company/business needs.
  • Strong leadership capabilities in line with Bold Leader competency set.  Identifying, leading, and developing a strong team to provide trusted advisor capability to Operations
  • Drive accountable and measurable continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives in the regions.  Ensure deliverables are timely.  Provide leadership and direction throughout projects/initiatives. 
  • Drive best operations decisions for Kohler Co.  This includes responsibility for leading the financial assessment for business cases on plant sourcing decisions and capacity utilization and optimization.
  • Responsible for the financial reporting for the business. This reporting is to be in accordance with Kohler reporting formats and design attributes, and available to the business and Kohler Co. management on a timely basis. Partner with operations leadership in the evaluation and measurement of operational and financial performance.
  • Responsible for coordinating the annual budgeting, financial planning and capital planning processes for the business and owner of the end product.  This includes product costing methodologies and standard cost process and monthly financial projection submission.
  • Responsible for leading and development of the supporting staff. This role includes providing knowledge transfer, coaching, constructive feedback, and candid appraisal. It is expected this role will train finance staff and key financial process owners for placement throughout Kohler Co. Likewise, dealing with incompatible associates on a timely basis is also expected. Ensure their development, engagement and performance is progressing in a positive direction for both the individual and organization.
  • Safeguard plant assets through compliance in fixed asset audits, physical inventories, post audits, closure of audit findings and working capital in line with targets.
  • Manage working capital through optimizing inventory inclusive of schedule adherence and proper E&O management, while meeting customer expectations on delivery (LOTIF)

Skills/Requirements

  • At least eight years of manufacturing accounting, managerial accounting, planning, or related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Global experience is preferred.
