Crafting Excellence: Your Responsibilities

  • Operate, inspect, troubleshoot and repair plant utility systems.
  • Perform alloperations in accordance with the specified guidelines and instructions, whileexercising safety for oneself and others.
  • Maintain allmajor utility equipment including Boilers, Air Compressors/Dryers, Chillers,Fans, Pumps, Wells, Cooling Towers and Fire Suppression equipment. Includesmaintenance of distribution systems for Steam, Condensate, Compressed Air,Chilled Water, Cooling Towers, Water Chemistry/Purification, Potable Water,Process Wastewater, Natural Gas, Propane, and Fire Systems.
  • Must beknowledgeable in the operation and maintenance of HVAC systems including AirHandlers, Rooftop units, and Make-up air units including associated controls.
  • Operate,inspect and maintain all Fire Protection Systems including but not limited to;sprinkler systems, fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers, fire hose,hydrants, and other firefighting equipment in accordance with specifiedguidelines and procedures including response to fire alarms.
  • Must beknowledgeable in the application of Lubricants, Packing/Seals, Bearings,Couplings, Gear Reducers, Measurement equipment, Fasteners, and Rigging.
  • Mustdemonstrate the ability to interpret and understand Mechanical and Electricalprints as well as P&ID diagrams.
  • Proficientlyutilize a wide variety of equipment and tools.
  • Be capableof using Computerized Maintenance Management software to create worknotifications, look-up and order parts, print work orders, and enter timeconfirmations.
  • Maintaintechnical competence in advancing technology via frequent training courses,on-the-job training, and vendor schools.
  • Workingconditions include heavy industrial environment, including, but not limited toexposure to heat, cold, dust, dirt, coolants, oils, noise, heights and confinedspaces.
  • PhysicalRequirements: Bending, lifting, and pushing weights of up to 40 pounds or more.

Key Requirements:

  • An associatedegree in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC Systems) Technology,Industrial
  • Maintenance,or Electro-Mechanical degree or must be enrolled in accredited program workingtowards the degree.
  • Must hold orbe able to acquire a valid Universal Refrigerant Handling Certificate within 18months. Required to be an active participant in the Kohler Company FireBrigade, responding to plant fires.
  • Ability tocommunicate effectively for manufacturing production processes 
  • Physicalability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without areasonable accommodation 
  • Ability tofollow all safety policies and procedures 
  • Reliableattendance and work performance 
  • Successfulcompletion of a drug screen and background check

The salary range for this position is $32.78 -$38.40. The specific salaryoffered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including thecandidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. Availablebenefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
