Staff Engineer - Faucet, Metals, and Vikrell

Work Mode: Hybrid

Location:  Hybrid - Kohler, WI

Opportunity

As a Sustainability Engineer, Staff Engineering you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing manufacturing processes across FMV operation’s facilities around the world. You will be responsible for leading projects that drive progress towards strategic plan objectives as well as Kohler’s long-term sustainability goal of being “Net Zero”.

This position requires a combination of strategic planning, project management, manufacturing process development, stakeholder engagement, and data analysis skills to ensure the successful integration of capital equipment and manufacturing processes within our operations.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Lead cross-functional teams to execute large strategic manufacturing projects and initiatives. Develop project plans, establish timelines, and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery of objectives.
  • Capital Investments: Lead FMV project teams in calculating production/financial impacts for capital investments and project execution while also ensuring the right level of sustainable options for final review as defined by Enterprise team.
  • Advanced Development: Stay informed about relevant new manufacturing/alternate energy technologies, and best practices. Participate on Big Rocks team to develop technologies and ideas through piloting phase and integrate into production.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (preferably mechanical engineering) from an ABET accredited engineering or engineering technology program
  • 5+ years of experience in Engineering Project Management, with a strong focus on process improvement and development
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong written/verbal communicator
  • Self-driven/motivated entrepreneurial skills required.

The salary range for this position is $98,900 - $125,600. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.  Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
