Supervisor, Central Electrical

Location: Onsite - Kohler, WI

Opportunity

The function of the Supervisor – Central Electrical is to provide the management and leadership of the electricians in the Central Electrical group. Which includes, providing electrical installations and electrical maintenance to the Kohler, WI campus in a safe, professional, efficient, and cost-effective manner. This position will also be the subject matter expert for the electrical installations and electrical safety at Kohler, WI campus.

Targets

  • Mange the Central Electrical department operations for the Kohler, WI campus.
  • Assign and direct the daily activities of the skilled trades associates in Central Electrical, to complete a weekly schedule and daily reactive work. Maintain on-time and on-cost delivery through prioritization of reactive work, utilization of available resources and use of partner contractors.
  • Audit completed work orders for accuracy (notes, PM, confirmation, time entry, etc.) to support data analysis.
  • Subject matter expert for electrical installations and electrical safety for all divisions on the Kohler, WI campus.
  • Manage emergency response processes and personnel for problems on the electrical infrastructure system.
  • Design and develop estimates for projects as requested.
  • Be the talent champion for associates in Central Electrical by growing strengths, identifying weaknesses, and facilitating training to close gaps.
  • Coordinate and manage the work of external electrical contractors as an alternative to using internal resources.
  • Recognize associates for accomplishments and cultivate a positive environment that facilitates the advancement of the maintenance team.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives using problem solving methodologies.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety and environmental policies and regulations.

Skills/Requirements

  • Associates Degree’s degree in a technical or leadership field or willingness to obtain.
  • Must possess or be capable of acquiring a Wisconsin Journeyman or Master Electrician License.
  • Prior supervisory experience in a related technical field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of electrical installation experience. 
  • Must possess well-developed oral and written skills in communication, coordination, and problem solving.
  • Strategic business acumen and deployment; taking creative action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a strategic systematic approach to decision-making.
  • Experience with a CMMS system and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred. All other duties as assigned by supervision.
