Lead Engineer - Transformative Innovation

As a Lead Engineer in Transformative Innovation, you will play a key role in shaping the future of the Kitchen & Bath industry. You’ll leverage your expertise to identify, evaluate, and develop next-generation products that redefine the market and drive industry advancements. 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Lead as the top engineer on a dynamic, high-performing team dedicated to developing the next generation of products within the Transformative Innovation department.  Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of less experienced engineers. 
  • Own the technical development and successful delivery of 1-3 innovation product development projects.  
  • Create detailed 3D CAD models, designing mechanical components, and analyzing designs for performance and feasibility. Complete DFM, DFA, DFMEA, certifications, drawings and organizational deliverables for full go to market readiness of new products. 
  • Create product requirements, development plans, test plans, and risk/issue mitigation strategies to communicate and align cross functionally. 
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing, Industrial Design, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to deliver the optimal balance of form, function, performance, and cost. 
  • Build and test prototypes and production units to verify performance and quality.  
  • Ensure new products meet all relevant industry regulations and quality standards.

Skills/Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from an ABET accredited university is required.  
  • 8+ years of product development and/or technology development engineering experience.  
  • Passion for innovation and a desire to push the boundaries of technology 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams  
  • Experience with launching consumer products preferred 
  • Proven ability to design and develop complex mechanical systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills  
  • Experience with 3D CAD software a plus
