The Distribution Center Operations, Senior Manager is responsible for the overall performance of assigned operational areas within a distribution center or a satellite distribution center facility. In this multifaceted role, you will create and maintain a first-class employee experience with a focus on talent development, employee engagement, staffing and retention, and learning and training.

You will also contribute to achieve profit and expense goals, provide the highest possible service to the market customer base, ensure compliance with corporate policies and government regulations, and provide a work-environment conducive to superior productivity, safety, and quality.

In addition, you will have direct report responsibility for 6-8 managers and associate managers and will support and execute short and long-term strategy for the assigned DC(s), leveraging goals and initiatives from the enterprise and overall supply chain. You will champion innovation by bringing ideas to own DC and the broader organization in an agile way, while balancing growth potential against financial risk and incremental cost to the organization.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Assign appropriate timelines and accountabilities for items, empowering the team to drive action steps to completion.
• Navigate ambiguity and change to achieve goals despite potential obstacles.
• Optimize facility product flow and building capacity, partnering with resources as needed to drive current and future state.
• Analyze areas of opportunity within the DC and partner across boundaries to identify best-in-class solutions.
• Ensure timely, secure, accurate deliveries of DC products/services to through the optimum deployment of courier/delivery resources within expense/profit target parameters.
• Partner with TA, hiring center, and HRBP resources to achieve staffing targets through creative recruiting methods such as job fairs, external advertising, temporary staffing agencies, cross-training, etc. Minimize overtime for colleagues.
• Ensure close partnerships with stores and achieve on-time delivery targets.
• Achieve productivity and quality metrics, partnering closely with team and industrial engineering to drive continuous improvement.
• Ensures compliance with all government regulations and statutes in the areas of DEA, employment, wage & hour, and EEO/AA, and more.
Leadership & Talent
• Ensure appropriate floor presence, engaging with colleagues and front-line leaders to stay abreast of feedback and concerns, while validating execution of critical action items.
• Ensure team is leveraging the engagement survey action planning tool to create robust action items based on colleague feedback. Revisit plans regularly and pivot as needed.

**This role will support both 1st and 2nd shifts. Hours 10:00am-7:00pmPST, Monday-Friday. Flexibility needed due to business needs***

Required Qualifications
• Minimum 8 years prior experience in retail or distribution/warehousing leading and developing exempt & non-exempt level colleagues.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with Microsoft Office including Excel for Trend Analysis, Pivot Tables, Vlookup

•Experience with Warehouse Management Systems
•Experience in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement concepts
•Experience in Safety Kaizens, initiatives, training, and risk reduction

Preferred Qualifications
•Six Sigma Blackbelt

•Experience in a Union environment
•Able to drive significant strategic projects to completion independently

•Experience using a statistical analysis software such as Minitab
•Ability to work in environments that require frequent standing, walking, and climbing stairs.

• Excellent time management.
• Ability to work with all levels of the organization and across teams to collaborate with a variety of peers, leaders, and support partners

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$82,940.00 - $182,549.40


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
