White Sands, a HumanGood life plan community (CCRC) in beautiful La Jolla, CA, is seeking individuals to join our dining services team. As the largest nonprofit owner/operator of senior living communities in California and one of the largest in the country, we are more than just a place to work. Schedule: Part Time - Friday - Monday  6am-2pm

Pay Range:  $17.50-$19.00/hr. 

Job Duties:

  • Set tray cards; read tray service memo, set tray line and dish up soup, dinners, salads, desserts, coffee, water;
  • Fill out menu; set tables for next meal; checks for supplies;
  • Assist in preparation of food;
  • Deliver and pick up food carts;
  • Maintain cleanliness of dining room and kitchen; adhere to sanitary guidelines;
  • Ensure resident satisfaction by reflecting professionalism and customer service;

Requirements:

  • 6 months experience in related field preferred; Fast food or restaurant experience preferred;
  • Experience working with seniors preferred;
  • Food Handler’s or ServSafe certification preferred;
  • Ability to communicate effectively (orally and written) with residents;
  • Available on holidays, evenings and weekends (we will work with your schedule.
