We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the preparation of federal, state, and local income tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws, providing strategic tax planning and advice. This role requires a deep understanding of tax regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns and related workpapers.
  • Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations, staying current with changes in tax legislation.
  • Conduct tax research and provide guidance on tax-related issues and strategies.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax provisions and financial statement disclosures.
  • Manage and coordinate tax audits and correspondence with tax authorities.
  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax positions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior tax accountants and other team members.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in income tax accounting, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate tax department.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
