Qualifications and requirements
Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
  • ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire. 
  • One year of experience preferred.
  • Minimum Education:  Graduate of a School of Nursing or graduate of a Physical Therapist program. BSN preferred.
  • Minimum Experience:  One year clinical/medical experience required.
  • Two years Medical/Surgical unit experience preferred
  • Certification/Licensure:  Current New Mexico or compact RN licensure required or Physical Therapist license required.

Department/Unit Summary

Join our Total Joint Services team, where you will be responsible for the education, preparation and resource case management, discharge planning and the continuum care of the program. You will work with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate the quality of care for the total hip and total joint replacement patients, and work with physicians and mid-level practitioners to facilitate the delivery of care and the Joint Commission requirements and National Patient Safety Standards.
