Position Summary:

  • Monitors hospital-wide quality.
  • Conducts daily and post discharge reviews of potential Harms/HACs.
  • Conducts mortality reviews.
  • Site administrator for VPS, Comet and Quality Net.
  • Fiscally responsible for accurate representation of medical severity of illness. Impacts Value Based Purchasing.
  • Data collection and submission to CMS, Joint Commission and Leapfrog.
  • Analyze data to recognize areas in programs for process improvement.
  • Exemplifies and is committed to the mission and values of the organization.
  • Adheres to the Code of Conduct and Service Excellence expectations of the organization.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree is required. Graduate of a School of Nursing program. Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Current license as an RN in New Mexico or compact license required. NM GN permit to practice acceptable for 90 days.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is required.
  • Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) is preferred.
  • ACLS is required for all areas where moderate sedation is performed.
  • New Hires/Transfers: Requires that BLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment and 1 year for ACLS.
  • If currently certified, must maintain current certification. Certification or completion courses must meet the standards of Memorial Medical Center.
  • Experience in an acute care facility preferred.
