This position is full time Saturday - Tuesday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 10-hour shift schedule during our normal business hours of 6:00 am – 5:00 pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 2716 N Tenaya Way, Las Vegas NV.

We offer weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment 

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage administrative intake of members
  • Work with hospitals, clinics, facilities and the clinical team to manage requests for services from members and/or providers
  • Process incoming and outgoing referrals, and prior authorizations, including intake, notification and census roles
  • Assist the clinical staff with setting up documents/triage cases for Clinical Coverage Review
  • Handle resolution/inquiries from members and/or providers
  • This is high volume, customer service environment. You'll need to be efficient, productive and thorough dealing with our members over the phone. You also must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes evening hours.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent experience
  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • 2+ years of customer service experience in a Healthcare Facility 
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology 
  • Experience with Microsoft  Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to work onsite at 2716 N Tenaya Way, Las Vegas NV
  • Ability to work any of our 10-hour shift schedule during our normal business hours of 6:00 am – 5:00 pm Saturday to Tuesday. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within the health care Industry and with health care insurance
  • Experience working in a hospital, physician's office or medical clinic setting
  • A clerical or administrative support background
  • Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT codes
  • Experience working in a call center

 

 

Nevada, Residents Only: The hourly range for this is $16.54 - $32.55 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
