The Staff Pad has partnered with a hospital in Las Vegas, New Mexico that is looking for a Physical Therapy Assistant. The PTA will assist Physical Therapists in providing treatments and procedures, monitor patient progress, and help implement therapeutic activities. Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with exercises, functional activities, and therapy techniques as directed by the Physical Therapist.
- Monitor and document patient progress, reporting findings to the Physical Therapist.
- Transport, lift, and position patients for therapy treatments.
- Administer manual therapy, massage, aquatic therapy, and electrical modality treatments.
- Measure range of motion, vital signs, and body mechanics to assess therapy effectiveness.
- Provide instruction to patients, caregivers, and families on treatment plans and home exercises.
- Maintain and monitor therapy equipment for safe and effective use.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree or certification from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Experience: 3-5 years of physical therapy experience preferred.
- Licensure: Must meet state certification and licensing requirements.
