Manpower Engineering is seeking a Prototyping Technician to join our Lebanon, IN client’s manufacturing team.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop and implement rapid prototyping processes and techniques to support product development and innovation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and manufacturing, to understand and translate design requirements into functional prototypes.
  • Utilize CAD (Solidworks) to create 3D models and generate design files for rapid prototyping.
  • Operate and maintain rapid prototyping equipment, such as 3D printers, CNC machines, laser cutters, and other additive or subtractive manufacturing technologies.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations to determine the most suitable rapid prototyping methods for different product designs.
  • Optimize and iterate on prototype designs based on feedback, performance testing, and design improvements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and external partners to source materials and components for prototyping.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements and trends in rapid prototyping technologies and techniques.
  • Provide technical support and training to other team members involved in the rapid prototyping process.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to rapid prototyping equipment, processes, and materials.
     
Who we are seeking:
  • Looking for a “tinkerer”, perhaps someone who has worked on a farm
  • Prefer some knowledge of CAD design software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.
  • Should be local to the central Indiana area.
  • Familiarity with welding practices, electronics, pneumatics, and fluid dynamics.
  • Ability to operate and maintain rapid prototyping equipment, such as 3D printers, CNC machines, and laser cutters.
