 Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform sterile compounding according to company policy and regulations including USP 797 and USP 800
  • Maintain competency related to performing sterile compounding
  • Participate in medication management for pharmacy compounding, including medication and supply ordering, receiving, and maintenance
  • Troubleshoot equipment, hardware, and software issues relating to compounding
  • Participate in completing and documenting all cleaning and monitoring activities identified for areas related to sterile compounding including daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning requirements
  • Work within a team to triage and respond to all compounding needs promptly
  • Maintain ongoing didactic and practical training related to sterile compounding

Required Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician License in the state of Kansas
  • 6+ months of consistent sterile compounding experience
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (8-hour shifts between 7am-7pm weekdays with rotating weekends)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently to solve high-stakes problems
  • Certified Compounded Sterile Preparations Technician (CSPT) certification
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours with intermittent breaks
  • Ability to lift to 30 pounds
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders 

 

**PLEASE NOTE** The sign-on bonus is only available to external candidates.  Candidates who are currently working for UnitedHealth Group, UnitedHealthcare or a related entity in a full time, part time or per diem basis ("Internal Candidates") are not eligible to receive a sign on bonus.
