Location: 225 New Lancaster Road. Leominster, MA

Hours: Monday through Friday from 8:45 AM and 5:15 PM

As a Patient Care Coordinator with a pediatrics clinic, you will: 

  • Answers phones and schedules appointments
  • Answer telephone calls, re-direct calls as appropriate, assist callers with questions or concerns, and take messages as needed
  • Greets patients as they arrive and manages wait time
  • Complete check-in and check-out tasks to include insurance verification, complete pre-authorizations and/or precertification of procedures, and copy required documents
  • Collects co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles and issues receipts
  • Processes walk-in patients and visitors
  • Manages medical records (maintains, files/scans, prepares for schedule)
  • Ensures all correspondence is scanned and/or filed, processes requests for medical records release and maintains appropriate logs, etc.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned
  • Manage Provider schedule templates 
  • Receive incoming mail and deliver accordingly
  • Receive incoming faxes and distribute accordingly
  • Use Epic for EMR and documentation
  • Manage Reports such as No Show/Healthy Planet/Waitlist etc 
  • Attend Tier 2 Meetings as directed 
  • May be required to travel locally up to 10% of the time for meetings or to cover other clinic locations

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1 + years of customer service experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 + years of experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Strong communication and customer service skills both in person and via phone
  • Working knowledge of general office procedures
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Medical office experience
