Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Linthicum, MD is seeking a Staff Systems Engineer to provide technical leadership for the integration and testing (I&T) of a Flight Processor for a Space Payload Production program. The technical lead provides real-time analysis and troubleshooting of failures seen during I&T of the Flight Processor, including ECA (Electronic Control Assembly)-level production and box-level integration, test set issues, firmware load testing, and high speed SerDes Bit Error Rate (BER) data trending across boxes. Daily availability and communications with team members is a must. The candidate needs to ensure the pedigree of the product delivered is acceptable for space and proper documentation and team workplace habits are in place to support it. Basic Qualifications: Communication skills for providing guidance to multiple team members Ensuring and instilling in team safety and pedigree of space hardware Ability to work in fast paced production environment General knowledge of RF, digital, and reading schematics Data trending and decision analysis General software script modifications Space I&T, including TVAC (Thermal-Vacuum Chamber) Willingness to work in the lab daily SAP usage to document test failures and signoff test operations Bachelor of Science in STEM curriculum with 12 years relevant experience; 10 years with MS; or 7 years with PhD. Preferred Qualifications: BS or MS in Electrical, Electronics Technology, or Computer Engineering The ability to obtain a DoD Top-Secret clearance and SCI access/approval for future opportunities within the Space Systems Sector.
