The Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) Microelectronics Design and Applications (MDA) Business pushes the boundaries of innovation, redefines the leading edge of exotic new technologies, and drives advances in the sciences. The MDA business area is seeking a Deputy IPT Lead to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. In this role in MDA, you will assist in leading a team responsible for executing system troubleshooting and maintenance. You will also be paired with a senior IPT lead to lead a team to develop new and novel solutions through the engineering hardware lifecycle. This position requires work onsite at our Advanced Technologies Laboratory located in the Linthicum, MD and/or Annapolis Junction, MD area. Roles and Responsibilities: Develop technical plans for projects including project schedules, budgets, and staffing plans in collaboration with an engineering team. Collaborate across all engineering disciplines to deliver high quality technical solutions including but not limited to RF, thermal, mechanical, structural, and operations. Develop technical and execution risk matrices and communication mitigation plans to program management. Run meetings with engineering teams to remove blockers and drive progress. Meetings can include stand-ups, sprint planning, and sprint reviews Facilitate root cause corrective action analyses along with the technical leads on the team and communicate feedback to vendors to provide issue resolution. Run weekly meeting with vendors to discuss open technical issues and the plan to resolution. Develop a preventative maintenance plan for MDA cryogenic systems including scheduling, material delivery, and staffing plans. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in STEM related field with 2+ years of relevant logistics experience. Experience engaging with suppliers to provide resolution to technical problems High attention-to-detail Active TS/SCI Clearance w/ CI Poly Preferred Qualifications: Effective verbal and written communication, ability to work in a team environment. Experience in project management to include cost, schedule and staffing Experience in preventative maintenance plan development Experience doing root cause corrective.
