The Northrop Grumman, Classified Solutions Services organization, is seeking a well-qualified Windows Systems Administrator to join its dynamic team of technical professionals in Linthicum, MD. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time, at our Linthicum, MD campus. NOTE: There are no remote working opportunities with this position. Primary Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following: Adhering to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases. Analyzing internal and external customer requirements to determine appropriate hardware and software requirements for solutions to problems; often leveraging automated tools/systems. Communicating effectively, at all levels of the organization, with internal and external customers, in written and verbal format. Creating and maintaining user and computer accounts and modifying file permissions and security access lists in a Microsoft Active Directory environment. Developing and documenting technical processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed. Directing junior team members, as necessary. Interacting, meeting, discussing, and troubleshooting issues with vendors and evaluating vendor products, services, and suggestions. Maintaining security audit and logging information on all classified networked and standalone computers as directed by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM). Maintaining smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, and system engineers, PC desktop technicians, project managers, end users, customer, and IT management. Making recommendations to purchase hardware, software, and system components. Performing as a Systems Administrator for a hybrid classified environment (i.e., Windows and Linux). Preparing security documentation for input to the ISSO and/or IA Team. Configuring and/or Managing backup and recovery services, Managing file systems and disk space, and Managing virus protection on a routine basis. Recommending and/or Implementing system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management. Reporting project status as required, to all stakeholders, for all recurring and non-recurring efforts. Supporting multiple networks while ensuring necessary administration tasks are completed in a timely manner. Testing new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.
